Katie has lost an amazing 125 pounds. She shares her continuing battle with maintaining. She began running in order to enjoy the sweets she still loves. The truth I have gleaned from from her blog is that in order for me to have success in this lifestyle change I have to find what fits me. If some of the treats are important to me I need to find a way to incorporate them by being more active and/or sacrificing something less meaningful. It was Katie's blog that inspired me to start my own.

Desiree has a great sense of humor and she loves the same nerdy things my husband does :) I might be secretly envious that she has found her fitness passion - tennis. You will not find a more supportive person on this journey.

Tiina inspires me with her mad triathloning. Last year she completed her first Half Ironman (1.2 mile swim / 56 mile bike / 13.1 mile run). She is super encouraging and even came to cheer my husband and I on in a nearby race!

Meg is a rain or shine runner. How she does it all with two little guys is amazing. I enjoy guessing the songs she references in all her blog post titles.

Gina shares tons of delicious recipes and includes nutritional information. The recipes are easy and use common ingredients that I often have on hand. Once you learn a new technique it opens many possibilities for your own creativity. For example, who knew my husband would love lettuce wraps - filling possibilities are endless. Below are some of our favorites (so far):
- Chicken Francese - One of the first we tried. For convenience I skip the flouring of the chicken - I had some trouble with it sticking to the pan. I think it is time for new pans.
- Flounder Piccata - Opened my husband's mind about fish. I have at least one fish recipe now I can serve.
- Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps - I like to add grated zucchini to this recipe..always trying to sneak in more veggies. I have also adapted some other recipes to the lettuce wrap technique - pineapple/pork with chipotle was oh so good.
- Salsa Verde Chicken Tostadas - Super easy. Chicken is cooked in crockpot and can be made ahead. Served with a red cabbage slaw - don't let that scare you off - check out the comment section of the recipe for other suggestions.
