There are so many reasons to walk Why do I walk? I will let the pictures pretty much speak for themselves.
So many beautiful flowers...even utility markers are pretty.
When I walked under this tree I wanted to set up a hammock and stay there the rest of the week.
My turnaround spot is a cemetery. I love the peacefulness and looking at the wide variety of headstones.
A peek in the chapel.
I thought this was an anchor when I took the picture, but now I am not so sure. It was one of 4 or 5 this shape, but the only one with a design on it. The stone shape in general reminds me of toast. I love toast.
In a few months this will be the most gorgeous row of hydrangeas.
This yard is a woodland garden.
They have redone some sidewalks. I don't think I am a fan of the pink.
That pretty much sums up the reason I love to walk. Yesterday, it was also a good opportunity to clear my head. Work is a bit stressful this time of year. I was almost back to the office when I figured out how to fix my computer network problem - it wasn't letting me print to our copier. Yesterday was our tech guy's first day of being laid off - part of the reason for work stress. I know I could have called him, but that seemed like rubbing salt in the wound. It turned out with some distance from the office and walk induced mental clarity I was able to recall a previous incident and how he had fixed it.
As much as I love walking I struggle with the day to day discipline of "exercise". That is something I will be working on this month. One look at these pictures should remind me how much I am missing when I don't get out there.
LOVE your pictures! You can get your walks in, I just know it!

DeleteThe pink sidewalks are kind of odd looking.

Summers can be miserable around here - definitely enjoying it while I can.
