Time to take the new shoes for a test drive. I ended up walking four miles in them this morning. During the last mile or so the ball of my left foot started hurting...it was very uncomfortable. I am not sure if it is the shoes or my lack of walking recently. I am going to go back to my old shoes for my next walk. If that goes okay, I will try the new shoes again. If I have the pain again I will be taking them back for an exchange. In the meantime, my husband is loving his new shoes :)
I am not generally crazy about Halloween decorations, but this little spider made me smile.
I have seen this cat on my walks before. He came out to me on the road again. I thought he might let me pet him but at the last second he veered away.
After a about a mile and a half I ran into my sister. She and my niece joined in on my walk. I had planned to walk 3 miles, but wanted to hang out longer so I opted to go another mile with them.
We met up with the crazy cat again. This time he was in the middle of murdering a chipmunk. We were slightly traumatized. My first thought I wanted a picture because the chipmunk was so cute and I really didn't think the cat had a chance. Unfortunately, by the time we realized the chipmunk wasn't getting away, we couldn't save it from the cat.
Now that he is a suspect I am not sure I should show his face. I am telling you this cat is trouble.
Saturday has been non-stop shower prep. I think this is the first time I have sat down to do anything else today. I can't say much about the shower yet because the bride and my sister are blog readers and I don't want to spoil the surprise. I will give a full report next week.
Earlier today when I came home from the store I had quite a scare. With my arms full of bags and reaching to unlock the door I heard a dog barking. At first I thought it was the neighbor's, but quickly realized that it was not her dog's voice. I turned around to see a big pit bull running toward me. I couldn't the door unlocked quick enough. So there I am basically cornered between the screen door and the wooden door yelling at the dog to go away. It was about 6 feet away from me barking and baring its teeth. Thankfully, someone started calling it and it went. Turns out it lives across the street. Hopefully, this is a one time incident. I was pretty scared, I am so glad I wasn't talking Millie outside. I don't think that would have ended well.
