A Few Pictures from Today

Not much time to write tonight so I am sharing a few pictures today.

This morning just felt darker when we started.  Made me wonder how I will do when it is pitch dark the whole time I am walking in the fall/winter. Somehow morning darkness seems safer than evening darkness.

FYI - Taking selfies in the dark doesn't work too well.  I did take one later when it was light, but I need some work on keeping my smile on, continuing to walk and taking the picture. How do people take such good selfies during races??? If anyone knows a good blog tutorial about this please share a link :)

This morning Millie ran with my husband for the first half and walked with me the second half.  Poor Millie left longing after him as he runs off with out her.

Saw this painted on the street this morning.  I hope it is a sign that I am about to come into some serious cash.  Or maybe it is just some locate info for road work :(

This made me smile this afternoon. I brought this apple for lunch. Didn't realize until I got it out that it had two stickers.  I think my apple is staring me down daring me to eat it...or imploring me to eat candy instead. Bye, bye apple...you were delicious. Fujis are my favorite!

Hope all is well in your corners of the world.

    1. Hmmm...I don't remember saying I didn't eat candy - it just wasn't the apple that made me do it :) And I logged all 80 calories of the two pieces of candy I did have.

    1. Yes, she does, but I fear 5 miles might be too much for her puppy legs. We try to keep her under 3 miles of actual running and walking with me is her cool down :)

  3. Puppies! I love walking/running in the morning better too. I do feel safer as well. I don't know if it's because more people are sleep then or what? Great job with the apple!

    1. I guess I was misleading. I ate the apple, but I did also have a couple pieces of candy. I meant to say the apple was trying to save itself by making me eat more candy than my pre-planned candy allotment.

  4. Hi Anna, I am a dog mum too. but mine are too small to run...and they stop to sniff EVERYTHING. So that's my excuse for just taking leisurely walks. I'm not being lazy, just a caring mum:).

    1. We have a 13 year old dachshund and we don't take her when we are working out - she lets us know she is not amused. We take her when we are just doing leisurely things - like the park or farmer's market. We need to burn off some of Millie's energy for her own protection :)
